Sports
Coaches training was started at Netaji Subhas
National Institute of Sports, Patiala in 1961.
Over the years academic courses were also started
at Bangalore, Calcutta and Gandhinagar 16882
Coaches including 507 foreign students have
graduated from the four academic centres, so
far. The Diploma Course in Sports Coaching is
now conducted at Patiala, Bangalore and Calcutta.

University
2.) Sports Achievement
Two time participation in Inter University (Zonal)
competitions / Senior National Championship
/ National Games / Inter Services, Inter Railways,
All India Police Games / Junior International
competition / once medal winner in School Games
/ Junior National Championship.
3.) CORRIGENDUM
One time medal winner in School Games / Junior
National Champion should be read as “One
time medal winner in above categories also.”
